Our mission is to inspire transdisciplinary research and discovery connecting technology and communities. We employ a unique collaborative approach bringing together design, technology, and entrepreneurship in pursuit of this mission, enabling new opportunities for discovery, disruption, and innovation.

In support of these principles, the ExCITe Center hosts a range of transdisciplinary research groups, teams, and projects. We seek to maintain an environment encouraging the serendipitous exchange of knowledge and ideas that lead to the formation of new connections, inspirations, and collaborations.

The Center brings into proximity Drexel faculty, staff, students, neighborhood partners and resources across Philadelphia to catalyze change. We believe that a network of engaged “do-ers” across civic, education, research, arts, and industry pursuits can bring about the future of our city that we collaboratively create.
