Building Neighborhoods:
Revisioning I-95 and the Delaware Waterfront

With the construction of the cap over Interstate 95 at Penn’s Landing, Philadelphia stands to gain a new neighborhood along the Delaware Waterfront. What will it look like? How will it connect to the city? Who will live there? Can we imagine a new neighborhood that is truly for all walks of life? We are partnering with Vishaan Chakrabarti - founder and creative director of Practice for Architecture and Urbanism (PAU) – to imagine the future of Philadelphia’s Delaware waterfront in this year’s Charette.

Join Our Charrette Presentation on Sunday, May 4

Beginning on Friday, May 2, we will bring together approximately 100 students from a variety of disciplines for a design challenge all weekend-long. We invite you to join us on Sunday, May 4, from 1:30–4:00 p.m. for a presentation of their solutions. Hosted by the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design’s Department of Architecture, Design & Urbanism.
