Drexel LGBTQIA+ Alumni Network
Mission
The Drexel LGBTQIA+ Alumni Network was formed to celebrate the uniqueness of Drexel University’s LGBTQIA+ experience, to support the work of the University now and in the future and to build lasting ties between LGBTQIA+ alumni, staff, faculty and students, the University and the LGBTQIA+ community. In doing so, we are able to better serve our constituency with an understanding of sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.
Goals
- Foster an engaged social community of LGBTQIA+ alumni and their allies through University wide events
- Build a professional network that can assist in the career development of LGBTQIA+ alumni, current LGBTQIA+ students and their allies
- Promote educational opportunities and dialogue around critical issues that are important to the LGBTQIA+ community, through collaboration with other LGBTQIA+ networks, alumni, allies and current students, staff and faculty
- Provide social, professional and educational support for current LGBTQIA+ students and allies
