  • Favorite thing about training: Helping others reach their fullest potential health wise

  • What got you into training: All of my friends were personal trainers

  • Favorite activity: Basketball

  • Hobbies: I like to fix/remodel homes

  • Fun fact(s): I sang Michael Jackson's "Bad" at a talent show

  • Advice for Clients: Don't neglect the basics



 

Cassie Woolley

  • Major: Bachelors in Movement Science from the University of Michigan. Currently a Doctor of Physical Therapy Student at Drexel
  • How long have you been training: 2 years going on 3
  • How long have you been training at Drexel: Since December 2022
  • Certifications: ACSM Personal Trainer
  • Training Focus/Specialization: Protective fitness and post rehabilitation
  • Favorite thing about training: helping clients learn what they love and value about fitness
  • What got you into training: When I was in undergrad, I noticed that the gym can be a place that is not very welcoming to women. It was so important to me that I helped other women know that not only do we have a place in the gym, but we can also be experts in fitness.
  • Favorite Activity: weight lifting 
  • Hobbies: Cooking and spending time with my cat, Thumper!
  • Fun Fact(s): I was a pole vaulter for 5 years!
  • Advice for Clients: Try everything! In the long run, it is most important that whatever you do to stay active, is something that you enjoy. This will help you stay motivated through your lifetime.

Leo Familia

  • How long have you been training at Drexel: just started in 2023!
  • Certifications:​ Certified Personal Trainer certs with NASM, NCSF, and TRX
  • Training Focus/Specialization: Functional mobility, strength, and conditioning
  • Favorite thing about training: My favorite thing about being a trainer is supporting my clients to meet their goals.
  • What got you into training: I always knew I wanted to teach, and as an athlete I always reached my full potential when I applied myself. So I got into training because I wanted to support others in seeing the benefits of being trained.
  • Favorite Activity: basketball
  • Hobbies: I enjoy my time in the gym playing basketball, doing yoga, or boxing.
  • Advice for Clients: Taking small steps is the best way to start your health and wellness journey.

Anna Neu

  • Certifications: NASM Certified Personal Trainer, HKC(kettlebell), USAW 1(weightlifting), Original Strength Cert, Pure Barre
  • Training Focus/Specialization: Kettlebells and Barre
  • Favorite thing about training: Seeing my clients grow and strengthen their bodies and confidence over time.
  • What got you into training: I grew up as a dancer and have always loved movement and over the years fell into strength training and overall wellness.
  • Favorite Activity: Religiously watching every season of Survivor.
  • Hobbies: Dance, knitting, and writing.
  • Fun fact(s): I’m an improv comedian and teacher on the side!
  • Advice for Clients: It’s okay to fail. Failure in an exercise is a learning experience and gives you positive feedback to move forward with. Keep trying and being patient with yourself.
