Drexel Community Scholars

Drexel Community Scholars (DCS) is a unique public service and leadership program open to students who desire to serve as a liaison to community partners. DCS enhance their academic learning, develop creative and critical thinking in structured reflections, and gain the skills to be active and responsible citizens in their local communities.

CIVC 101

The First-Year Civic Engagement Course (CIVC 101) is designed to help students develop skills as active participants in a pluralistic, democratic society through direct service, education, and reflection opportunities.


Lindy Scholars Program

Through the generosity of Philip B. Lindy, Drexel University has established the Lindy Scholars Program to provide aims to level the playing field in public education by increasing academic achievement and expanding the social horizons for middle school students living in Drexel's west Philadelphia vicinity.
