Dr. Frank T. Anbari, served as Clinical Professor and Director of the PhD, MS, and Graduate Certificate in Project Management at Drexel University. He previously served as a faculty member, Director of the Project Management Program, and Chair of the Project Management Academic Committee at The George Washington University. He also taught in the graduate and executive development programs at Penn State University and the University of Texas at Dallas. He holds a PhD in Project Management and Quality Enhancement, an MBA, and an MS in Civil Engineering, all from Drexel. He is a Professional Engineer (PE), a Project Management Professional (PMP)®, and a Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Dr. Anbari gained extensive industrial experience serving in leadership positions in engineering, construction, and information technology at the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak), Day and Zimmermann, and American Water Works Service Company. He developed and taught courses and management development seminars in project management, earned value management, quality management, and Lean Six Sigma for private industry and public-sector organizations throughout the world. Dr. Anbari is an accomplished teacher and educator. He conducts rigorous, use-inspired research, presents widely, and publishes extensively on significant, relevant topics in project management and Lean Six Sigma. The results of his research appeared in over 155 papers, book chapters, books, case studies, and conference proceedings. Dr. Anbari is the recipient of the Outstanding Research Award 2014 and 2015 from Drexel University, College of Engineering, the Outstanding Research Contribution 2008 and 2010 from the International Project Management Association (IPMA)®, and competitive research grants from the Project Management Institute (PMI)® and IBM Center for the Business of Government. He is the recipient of the 2014 Outstanding Online Faculty Award from Drexel University Online, and the 1999 Continuing Education Director’s Award from Penn State University. Dr. Anbari serves as a member of PMI® Academic Insight Team, and a member of the editorial boards of International Journal of Managing Projects in Business and Journal of Project Management Practice. He served as Chair, PMI® Educational Foundation Awards and Scholarships Judges Committee, Vice President–Education and Certification, PMI® College of Performance Management, member of the Board of Directors and Executive Vice President of PMI®-Delaware Valley Chapter, member of the editorial boards of International Journal of Project Management, Project Management Journal, and Quality Management Journal, and examiner (1993–1995) and alumni examiner (1999–2000) for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
