In this applied course, students will collect “real time” social media data to answer their own research question. Students will apply descriptive statistics to analyze quantitative data, develop a codebook to examine qualitative data, and integrate the two approaches to complete a multi-method data analysis. Coursework will focus on organizing and interpreting data, and preparing and presenting data for diverse audiences.
