Kenneth James Turner is a senior at Drexel University studying Entertainment & Arts Management with a concentration in Performing Arts. His love of captivating audiences with dance and movement, has recently turned into a love of photography and creative direction. In the last two years Kenneth has worked to show viewers the beauty he sees in people, specifically highlighting Black and African American people of all ages, sizes, and skin tones. You can find his creative vision in different brand marketing campaigns, his own creative concepts, and content for social media influencers. He hopes to one day begin his own print and photography business, continue to develop his own creative work using visual media, and to one day see his work on the cover of a magazine.
Here's what he has to say about his project: "Like most art, art reflects the artist, who they are, where they’ve been, and what they have experienced. I always thought I had a gift of looking at things differently than others, which I believe is reflected in the art I created. With “ i ” l let all “no's” go and simply said yes to the art and how my mind would reimagine the same image. “i” is a reflection in my journey in surrendering myself to the art and celebrating beauty, and strength of being a Black man."
