The Theatre Program of the Department of Performing Arts is excited to welcome Broadway veteran and guest instructor Kimberly Marable back for a night of conversation and audience Q&A. Kimberly will host special guests Diana Huey and Raymond J. Lee for an honest exploration of balancing life, art, and being an artist of color. “Real Talk: Life On Stage… And Off” is sure to be a thought-provoking and inspirational event. Join us!
Diana Huey is a Helen Hayes and Gregory Award Winning New York based actor best known for her portrayal of Kim in
Miss Saigon (Signature Theatre) and Ariel in the National Tour productions of Disney’s
The Little Mermaid, where she made international headlines for combating racism over her casting as an Asian American actor. As a stage actor, she has worked regionally across the country and been a part of several world and U.S. premieres of new musicals and plays including Anchuli Felicia King’s
White Pearl, Pasek and Paul’s
James and the Giant Peach (Spider), and most recently Michael Arden’s production of
Maybe Happy Ending. On screen she has been featured in
Pokémon (Shirataki), Netflix’s
It’s Bruno (Avery), TNT’s
Leverage (Bree) and
The Glee Project (Season 1). Diana is a proud advocate for diversity and inclusion in the arts and has found a new passion in advocacy and virtual work sessions on the subject, especially with students. For more info, follow along at @DianaHuey! www.DianaHuey.com
Raymond J. Lee was most recently in the company of
Mack & Mabel at City Center Encores! and
Soft Power at The Public Theater. Other Broadway credits include
Aladdin, Groundhog Day, Honeymoon in Vegas, AnythingGoes, and
Mamma Mia! Film/TV credits include:
Marriage Story, Ghost Town, Succession, Billions, Red Oaks, and

Kimberly Marable has spent the last 14 years as a working actor. Her Broadway appearances include
The Lion King (u/s Nala, Shenzi, Sarabi) and
Sister Act (u/s Deloris van Cartier). Most notably, she is an original cast member of the Tony and Grammy Award winning musical
Hadestown on Broadway where she understudies Persephone and a Fate. Her international touring credits include
The Book of Mormon, Sister Act (u/s Deloris van Cartier),
Dreamgirls, Hairspray, and
The Wedding Singer (u/s Linda). Kimberly has performed at regional theaters including The Signature in Arlington, VA and Arkansas Repertory Theatre ("The Rep") in Little Rock, AR. She recently participated in the pre-Broadway development of
The Wanderer with New Kids on the Block's Joey McIntyre, which is set to make its world premiere at Papermill Playhouse. The Theatre Program is thrilled to welcome Kimberly back as a guest instructor for the Musical Theatre Cabaret Class this spring.
