Andrew Devaney is a fourth year student completing his combined Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the Biological Sciences, and he is the Winter 20 winner for Drexel University Symphony Orchestra's Concerto Competition! At the concert on March 13 in the Main Auditorium, he will perform the first movement of Sinfonia Concertante in E Minor for Cello and Orchestra by Sergei Prokofiev.

Devaney's co-op experiences include positions at both GlaxoSmithKline as well as the Breast Cancer Research Lab of the Fox Chase Cancer Center. He will complete his final co-op at Century Therapeutics, a CAR-T Therapy development startup, beginning in April. In addition to the Drexel University Symphony Orchestra, he also performs in the Drexel Chamber Strings Ensemble, and is an aspiring composer. Following graduation, he hopes to pursue a career in the field of Biotechnology while also pursuing his musical interests at a high level.
