Theresa Schweingruber, a Philadelphia native, will be entering her junior year at Drexel University, pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Dance. She trained at Gwendolyn Bye Dance Center from 2010-2014 and was a member of Dancefusion's junior company, fusion2. She graduated from the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts where she was also a member of the Dance Department’s dance company. Throughout college, Theresa has been able to dance with a local companies including Underground DanceWorks, ContempraDance Theatre and Eleone Connection while also performing with Drexel’s Dance Ensemble. The summer of 2015, Theresa was given the opportunity to perform in the Koresh Dance Company’s Come Together Dance Festival and is enjoying being a part of Philadelphia’s dance community. One of her most recent endeavors includes training to receive a Pilates instructor certification through Drexel’s training program. Upon graduation in 2018, Theresa intends to attend graduate school for Education while also continuing to involve herself in the Philadelphia and surrounding dance communities.
