Week of Undergraduate Excellence – Virtual Poster Session
Abstract submission opens: Monday, January 11, 2021
Abstract submission closes: Monday, April 19, 2021
Students will have the opportunity to present their work in a virtual poster session during the 2021 Week of Undergraduate Excellence. Students who are accepted for presentation will be expected to provide a poster, an abstract, and a video of themselves summarizing their work to present during an asynchronous poster session. Students will be expected to be available to reply to comments and questions during the poster session; details about the date, duration, and submission for the poster session will be made available when students are notified of acceptance.
Please note: Students interested in giving oral presentations should consider submitting to present at the Student Conference on Global Challenges or at Nerd Night @ Drexel U during the Week of Undergraduate Excellence.
The size and scope of the Week of Undergraduate Excellence precludes any type of peer review of abstracts, and virtually all student submissions are likely to be accepted for presentation. Consequently, each student presentation must be sponsored by a faculty mentor, and the organizing committee will rely on faculty mentors to work with their student(s) to ensure that abstracts are correct, complete, and the result of eligible work. If students wish to present scholarly work that has been conducted during an off-campus experience and his/her mentor is from a different institution, the student should identify a Drexel faculty member to co-sponsor and support the presentation.
- Deadline for receiving abstracts is Monday, April 19, 2021 (5:00 pm EST). Submissions will open Monday, January 11, 2021.
- Each abstract should provide a general 200-word summary of the research, including a thesis and 1-2 resources. The abstract should reflect the professional format associated with scholarly work in that specific discipline.
- Only one submission will be considered for each individual listed as first author.
- The submission form will require that students submit an abstract and a letter of support from his/her mentor.
Questions about the Week of Undergraduate Excellence should be directed to Undergraduate Research & Enrichment Programs (firstname.lastname@example.org).
