Developing a Research Plan Statement for the NSF GRFP (In Person)

Tuesday, July 9, 2024

12:00 PM-1:30 PM

The National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) provides selected fellows with three years of funding, including a living stipend and tuition funds, to support the research phase of their doctoral degree in STEM, social sciences, or STEM education. The current application cycle is open to US citizens and permanent residents planning to begin a research-focused graduate program in Fall 2025, or who will be in the 1st or 2nd year of a PhD program in Fall 2024.

This first of three GRFP application workshops will cover how to develop and refine an effective research plan statement, one of the most important parts of your application.

Attendees who have already worked with a faculty mentor to define the basics of their project idea will be positioned to get the most out of this workshop. You can find preparatory materials for this workshop, as well as materials from the previous workshop, at https://drexel0.sharepoint.com/sites/Pennoni-UREP-Public/Fellowships/SitePages/NSF-GRFP-Workshops-and-Events.aspx

A virtual version of this workshop will be offered in the evening on Monday, July 15. Both sessions of workshop 2 will cover the same material; there is no need to attend both.

Events with no RSVPs 24 hours in advance will be cancelled.
