March 25, 2019
Congratulations to Cherelle Connor (MS Biomedical Science’ 19), recipient of a 2019 ThinkSwiss Research Scholarship and DAAD Research Internship in Science and Engineering Professional (RISE Pro) scholarship!
Cherelle Connor received her Bachelor’s in neuroscience at Bates College, and is currently working towards obtaining her Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Drexel. In January 2019, she joined Dr. Sorin Seigler’s Biomechanics Lab, where she modeled and simulated movement of the ankle joint. She received a DAAD Rise Professional internship to Germany for the summer of 2019 where she will begin research in developing visualization approaches to reduce motion sickness while navigating solar system virtual environments at the German Aerospace Center (DLR). In the following fall, she will be researching at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich (ETHZ) in the Rehabilitation Engineering Laboratory with support of the ThinkSwiss Scholarship Program.
The ThinkSwiss_Research_Scholarship program supports highly motivated and qualified U.S. undergraduate and graduate students spend up to three months at a Swiss institute of higher education for a research internship.
The DAAD RISE Pro program allows graduate students to conduct research for up to 3 months in science and engineering at companies in Germany.
