OGCR's Department of Federal Affairs works closely with the United States Congress and Administration to craft policies that support the higher education and research communities. We work with faculty and staff to secure research funding from the National Institute of Health, National Science Foundation, and federal contracting agencies. We meet regularly with Cabinet-level officials and their deputies, the region’s congressional delegation, and key staff of Congressional committees and Agencies to advocate on behalf of the University’s interests. OGCR serves as the liaison to the federal government for faculty, staff, and students, and provides access to University experts to public officials, including providing expert testimony. Federal Affairs also maintains a physical presence at the Drexel DC Center, which serves as a multi-functional academic and outreach center in the heart of the nation’s capital.
