This project brings together a local fiber artist, an engineer, and a game designer who will use touch responsive thread to create an interactive narrative tapestry that depicts the history, culture, and community of a West Philadelphia neighborhood.

Map the Gap: Reducing the Burden of Local Housing Insecurity via Evidence-Informed Digital Design
Map the Gap is a digital tool that connects tenants, landlords, community-based organizations, government agencies, and other resources in Philadelphia by 1) providing personalized navigation of Philadelphia's housing system, 2) facilitating communication between parties, and 3) enabling service exchange (a local currency) to help Philadelphians (and eventually people in other cities across the U.S.) to live healthier lives in the midst of epidemic housing insecurity.
