CyberDragons

cyberdragons

The Drexel CyberDragons student group was formed in July 2016. The purpose of the club is to train students in practical technical cybersecurity skills. A subset of the club members comprise the club team that participates in collegiate cybersecurity competitions, such as the annual National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC).
The club is open to anyone who wishes to learn about cybersecurity and gain hands-on experience in cyber-defense -- no experience is required, just an interest in learning.

Club Meetings:

Every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM located at 3401 Market Street room SC 326

Team leadership:
Charles Ludwig, head of information security at Susquehanna International Group (SIG) in Bala Cynwyd PA, serves as the club's coach and mentor.
Colbert Zhu (ctz27@drexel.edu), a student in the Drexel Computer Science Department, is club president and co-leader of the club team.
Steven Weber, a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Director of the Cybersecurity Institute, is the club's faculty advisor.

The club team competed in the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition for the first time in April 2017, and took 4th place.
