Start Here Before Classes Begin Remember that this may be a new way of learning for you and a new way of teaching for your instructors. It is important for you to prepare to engage in this new type of learning environment and to be patient as you and your instructors learn to navigate this approach to teaching and learning. Figure out what kind of technology you have access to in order to engage in online learning, and whether you have reliable internet access. If you anticipate that you have issues with your technology or internet access, you should communicate that to your instructors. Identify and acquire any materials needed prior to the first day of class (i.e., textbooks), and make sure you have completed any readings or assignments required prior to that first class. If your instructors have communicated with you about technology tools that you will need to use for learning in their courses (i.e., Zoom, Blackboard Collaborate), try them out before you will need them for class so that you are prepared for the first day of each class. Review syllabi, assignments, and deadlines, and begin to make a plan for your studies for the term.
