ABOUT
Drexel University, in partnership with the Academy of Natural Sciences (ANS), is launching an Environmental and Sustainability Network to connect Drexel alumni, ANS members, students, faculty and parents who are interested in preserving and protecting our planet. The group will provide social opportunities, have critical conversations about our natural world and make changes in our community.

AREAS OF FOCUS
Critical conversations about our natural world
- Exchange ideas and solutions to environmental challenges including climate change, water resources, evolution and biodiversity, and extinction
- Support Drexel’s continuous shift toward more sustainable practices
Social opportunities
- Attend events such as Academy Conversations
- Network with peers in a variety of fields
- Co-host a networking event or panel discussion with campus partners
- Volunteer to participate in a field experience with ANS/Drexel scientists and students including a stream clean-up
How to make changes in our community
- Advocate for policy changes that address environmental issues
- Mentor students within the Academy’s Women in Natural Sciences Program, Drexel CoAS or other interested students
