A Note to Our Colleagues, Presenters, and Speakers About the Future of the Annual Conference on Teaching and Learning Assessment:
After much discussion and deliberation, we have decided to end the Annual Conference on Teaching and Learning Assessment. After overcoming challenges posed by Covid-19 and returning to an in-person day in 2023, we felt ending on a high note and retiring the conference was the best decision.
On behalf of the entire Conference Planning Committee, the Office of Assessment and Accreditation, and the Drexel Community, we want to thank everyone who has participated in the Assessment conference over the past 10 years. For a decade, we have been incredibly proud of the robust program we offered to our friends and colleagues. What started out as a small humble conference centered around teaching and learning, grew to become a well-revered regional event that brought in hundreds of assessment professionals each year that shared best practices and experiences. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the incredible and through provoking opening plenary and panel speakers we have had over the years. Not only did these presenters provide a fresh and nuanced perspective on teaching and learning, but they also energized attendees, which carried through the 3-day event. Pre-Conference workshops were also a highlight of the conference. Most notably was the pre-conference workshop from our colleagues and representatives from AAHLE who presented the “Assessment Institute” which provided a framework for ways to better understand how to use information and data to inform decision making. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has participated in or assisted with the conference over the last 10 years. Once again, on behalf of the entire Drexel University community we want to thank every one of you for making this conference unforgettable.

Sincerely,
The Conference Planning Committee and the Drexel Community
