M.S. in Teaching, Learning and Curriculum: Teacher Certification

The M.S. in Teaching, Learning and Curriculum: Teacher Certification is a rigorous program, whether you are studying full-time or part-time. We understand the commitment it takes to juggle your studies with your life commitments and have set up multiple resources to help you achieve your goals and keep you connected to the school community.

Academic Advisement

Drexel’s programs are customized to your needs. Support begins from the moment you enroll, when you are assigned an academic advisor to help you navigate every aspect of your coursework, through graduation and certification. Your advisor will create an individual plan of study, outlining the best path to achieving your academic and professional goals.

Field Placement Office

The School of Education’s Field Placement Office provides candidates assistance in applying for and securing all domestic and international field placements required for observations and student teaching. Additionally, the office assists candidates in obtaining PA required background clearances, answering questions regarding school district procedures, field placement procedures, and organizes the mandatory Student Teaching Orientation.

Resource Portal

In addition to your academic advisor, the Resource Portal provides updated information on everything related to the post-bachelor's program, from academic seminars and job listings to field experience clearance forms and procedures, certification requirements, and classroom resources for each subject area. The portal also provides access to the MSSI community through social-networking sites, student blogs, a connection to your fellow students, and invaluable technological support through a series of troubleshooting tutorials.
