Admissions Policies & Procedures

Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law takes a holistic approach to the admissions process. The Admissions Committee evaluates every component of each application. An ideal candidate has a strong, but diverse, academic background that prepares them for the rigors of law school. The Committee carefully reviews the applicant’s academic profile, including but not limited to LSAT or GRE scores; cumulative GPA; the breadth and depth of an applicant’s academic curriculum and program; and evidence of writing, research, critical thinking, and analytic skills.

Drexel Kline School of Law seeks students who will be active members of our collegial, vibrant community and will thrive in our array of experiential education opportunities. Therefore, we strongly consider the information shared in the applicant’s resume, letters of recommendation, and personal statement that addresses their work or service history, demonstrated leadership skills, and participation in student clubs or professional organizations. Ideal candidates are leaders in their respective academic institutions and volunteers in their communities or individuals who bring a variety of work experience and advanced degrees. We welcome applicants who’ve overcome hardships and take into consideration the lessons they’ve learned from those difficult experiences. In essence, we are looking for students who can handle the academic challenges of law school while becoming active members who will positively contribute to the Drexel Kline Law community.
