3Ls Advance to Semi-Finals in Judge Paul Joseph Kelly, Jr. Invitational Trial Competition

Trial Team members Ryan Sindelar and Elizabeth Yoder advanced to the Semi-Final Round in Fordham University School of Law’s Judge Paul Joseph Kelly, Jr. Invitational Trial Competition Nov. 10-12.

Sindelar and Yoder, both 3Ls represented the law school in the competition, to which teams from 16 law schools were invited to try a federal criminal case.

They were coached by Tom Bosworth, an attorney at Kline & Specter, and Dave Clark of the Defender Association of Philadelphia.  

The competition was launched in 2011 to honor Judge Paul Joseph Kelly, Jr., a Fordham University School of Law alumnus who serves on the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit.   

The Kline School of Law's Trial Team has been ranked #3 in the U.S. in a performance ranking published by Fordham, based on its performance in competitions over the last two academic years.
