Professor Anil Kalhan Discusses Immigration in the Era of Trump at University of Pennsylvania Symposium

Professor Anil Kalhan was a panelist at the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law Symposium on “Executive Power: Immigration in the New Administration” on Jan. 26.

An authority on immigration law and comparative constitutional law, Kalhan joined New York University Law Professor Adam B. Cox, Penn State Law Professor Shoba Sivaprasad Wadhia, Widener Law School Professor Jill Family and lobbyist C. Stewart Verdery on a panel focusing on immigration initiatives in the Trump administration.

Kalhan chairs the New York City Bar Association’s International Human Rights Committee.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro gave the keynote at the symposium, which also explored sanctuary cities, advocacy for immigrants and judicial responses.
