Trial Team members Zachary Yurick, a 3L, and Philip Pasquarello, a 2L, were crowned champions of the Texas Young Lawyers Association Regional Mock Trial Competition on Feb. 12.

Pasquarello was named Best Advocate in the Final Round of competition.

A second squad of Trial Team members Gregory Kiss, a 3L, and Jenna Mathias, a 2L, advanced to the Semi Final rounds of the competition, which included students from law schools in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and West Virginia.

Both squads were coached by Professor Gwen Roseman Stern, director of the Trial Advocacy program, Jason Grenell, assistant district attorney in Philadelphia, and Guy D’Andrea of Laffey, Bucci and Kent.

Yurick and Pasquarello will take part in the TYLA National Trial Competition in Fort Worth, starting March 22.
