Get the latest Windows update from Software Center

When the latest Windows update is ready for your Drexel-owned device, it will be available to download from Software Center. Choose a time that works best for you to download and install the update. You'll then need to restart your device to complete the installation.

Note: Windows updates for Drexel-owned devices are managed by Drexel IT, and available from Software Center. Do not install updates from Windows Update in Settings.

Install the latest update

To stay up to date, select Start  > Microsoft Endpoint Manager > Software Center, and then select Updates.

If an update is available for your Drexel-owned device, it will appear on the Updates page. To install the latest update, select Install All.

  Notes:

  • If you're working from off campus, you'll need to connect to Drexel's Virtual Private Network (VPN) before you can install the latest Windows update from Software Center.
  • It might take several minutes to an hour for the latest Windows update to become available in Software Center.
  • The time required to download and upgrade Windows depends on internet connection speed, network settings, and update size. Most devices will take about an hour to upgrade.
