All students, faculty, staff, and student organizations may set up a Drexel Unix (DUNX1) account to host a personal homepage, store files, and for general-purpose Unix shell access.
DUNX1 accounts have a 100 MB file storage limit.
Account Activation
- Sign in to the Computer Accounts Management Service (CAMS) with your DrexelOne user ID and password.
- Continue to the page that lists your current accounts.
- Click the button labeled "Set up new account" for an Academic Unix account.
- Follow the instructions to complete the account setup.
If you plan to use DUNX1 for a personal homepage or file storage, no further set up is required; you may transfer files to your account as needed. If you are using DUNX1 for general-purpose Unix shell access, you need to pick a command shell by clicking on the "Shell" link that appears next to Academic Unix in the list of your accounts.
How to Access your DUNX1 Space
Download and install a secure FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Client, either sFTP (Windows) or Fetch (macOS).
