John DiNardo, vice provost for Academic Affairs, addresses visiting students from Ursinus College.
On November 28, John DiNardo, vice provost for Academic Affairs, Tim Gilrain, executive director of Goodwin College of Professional Studies, and Lamont Wilson, director of Degree Completion Programs in Goodwin, met with Ursinus College students enrolled in Drexel University courses as part of Ursinus’ Philadelphia Experience, or PhillyX, initiative.

In collaboration with the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Success, the Office of the University Registrar, the Office of the Bursar and other academic departments, the Ursinus College Philadelphia Experience was formalized between the Office of the Provost and Ursinus College in September, allowing students at the Collegeville, Pa., school to enroll as visiting students for a term at Drexel through Goodwin College.
"It offers Ursinus students an opportunity to experience Philadelphia’s diverse and urban educational environment," said Wilson. "The flexibility of Goodwin’s Degree Completion programs, which encompasses undergraduate non-matriculated options, allowed Drexel the opportunity to host this unique initiative."
This fall, Ursinus students enrolled in courses across the University, lived in the Summit, and had access to the same facilities and benefits as other undergraduate students at Drexel. Ursinus faculty taught experiential courses, and some students even worked internships in Philadelphia.
A second group of Ursinus students will participate during the Winter 2017 term.
