When I was transitioning towards the medical field, I initially wanted to be a doctor. But with the funny way life happens, every turn I took towards becoming a doctor kept pointing me towards the PA profession.

Patrick Ihejirika was inspired to become a physician assistant after realizing that access to health care is very limited if you don’t have money for treatment in his home country of Nigeria. He hopes to return to care for the people in his community.

Nursing is a family affair for Damien Boham, whose mom, sister and aunt are also nurses. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Stroudsburg University, Boham worked six years as an ICU nurse for Lehigh Valley Health Network.
