The Physician Assistant Department has welcomed two new full-time faculty members, Bobby O'Brien, MHS, PA-C, assistant clinical professor, and Courtney Ercole, MSW, MHS, PA-C, clinical instructor. Both are DUPAP alumni.

Charles Stream, MPH, PA-CCharles Stream, associate clinical professor, recently published A Clinical Year PACKRAT Score That Identifies Risk of Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination Failure: A 10-Year Analysis in the Journal of Physician Assistant Education.

They shared what it's like to be a PA and gave advice to students about how to prepare for a career in medicine.

On Friday, April 22, Courtney Ercole, MSW, MHS, PA-C, clinical instructor, Daniela Livingston, MD, PA-C, assistant clinical professor, and a group of students volunteered at MANNA for the afternoon. They did food prep (chopping veggies, making chicken cutlets and assembling meals) for MANNA to distribute throughout the city.

PA students and faculty at RAM eventOn Saturday, April 24, Julie Kinzel, MEd, PA-C, interim department chair, Lena Ward, MHS, PA-C, clinical instructor, Adrian Banning, DHSC, MMS, PA-C, associate clinical professor, and Courtney Ercole, MSW, MHS, PA-C, clinical instructor, and a group of 30 students manned a blood pressure patient education booth at Remote Area Medical (RAM) Event at the Convention Center. RAM was able to provide services to 712 people in our community.
