Longevity at Drexel Recognized Annually

The College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHP) benefits from having faculty and professional staff committed to its long-term success. The college recognizes it, and so does the university. President John Fry expressed his gratitude to the 2021 Years of Service Recognition Honorees in his video message. “In this group, there is a wealth of talent, continuity, experience, humanity, leadership and institutional memory,” Fry acknowledged. Paul Jensen, PhD, Executive Vice President and Nina Henderson Provost, specifically mentioned the significance of these qualities in his greeting. “We look to our institutional memory for perspective, not just to merely know where this university has been. We rely on your insights to help us understand where Drexel should go in the future,” explained Jensen.
Their perspective and insights have allowed the university and college to adapt to higher education’s changing reality during a surge of coronavirus in the United States. During the pandemic, through the perseverance of these honorees and all our faculty and professional staff, the college has continued to offer every educational opportunity to our future healthcare and service leaders. “I am reminded daily how important the work our professional staff and faculty do,” shared CNHP Dean Laura N. Gitlin, PhD. “It exemplifies our mission and creates lasting change in our local and global communities.”
