Courtney Lee, PA-S2, Ellie Martini, PA-S2 and Daniella Yousof, PA-S2 have been accepted into the Visiting Mentorship for Multicultural Advanced Practice Provider Program at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. This weeklong program in June 2022 pairs students with an advanced practice provider at CHOP to explore various facets of this nationally renowned pediatric hospital.
Lauren Thomas ‘22 was awarded the Innovation Grant, sponsored by Drexel GSA, for the W.W. Oaks Student Society to attend the AAPA conference.
Congratulations to Hannah Sandwith DUPAP ’21 on her acceptance into the 2022-23 Norwalk/Yale Surgical Residency.
The PRIDE club hosted a talk on Transgender care in the GYN setting on Wednesday, April 6. Dr. Robyn Faye, MD, is a gynecologist and clinical year preceptor who works in the Philadelphia area and provides care for transgender patients. She shared important information all providers should be aware of while taking care of transgender patients in the GYN setting.
On Saturday, April 9, PA students and faculty came together to compete in the PA Olympics, a joint fundraiser with multiple local PA programs. The event raised over $24,000 for the organization, Metavivor. Drexel PA students put together the highest value raffle basket — over $1000. The programs completed a scavenger hunt throughout the city to celebrate.
On Friday, April 22, Daniela Livingston, MD, PA-C, assistant clinical professor, Courtney Ercole, MSW, MHS, PA-C, clinical instructor, and a group of students volunteered at MANNA for the afternoon. They did food prep — chopping veggies, making chicken cutlets, assembling meals — for MANNA to distribute throughout the city.
On Saturday, April 24, 30 students along with Julie Kinzel, MEd, PA-C, interim department chair, Lena Ward, MHS, PA-C, clinical instructor, Adrian Banning, DHSC, MMS, PA-C, associate clinical professor, and Courtney Ercole, MSW, MHS, PA-C, clinical instructor, manned a blood pressure patient education booth at Remote Area Medical (RAM) Event at the Convention Center. RAM was able to provide services to 712 people in our community.
On Friday, May 6, there will be a mixer to welcome the new DUPAP class of 2024.

On Saturday, June 25, students and faculty will be volunteering at various organizations throughout the city to give back to the community. This day of service was organized by PA student Jose Cuadros.
