Four students at Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions are each recipients of a $10,000 scholarship from the William and Theresa M. Rubert Memorial Scholarship Trust. The Trust provides financial awards for qualified persons who wish to attend Drexel University's College of Nursing and Health Professionals. Students must be full-time and academically qualified BSN co-op pre-junior, junior or senior with financial need to be considered.

More than 50 scholarships have been awarded to-date having a value of over two million dollars. Individual scholarships may vary, but students are generally awarded $10,000/year for tuition, fees and housing. All scholarships are for BSN co-op pre-junior, junior and senior students only.

Alyse Noll, a five-year co-op student from Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, will be graduating in 2021 from Drexel University. She sees herself working in the neonatal intensive care unit at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and then going back to school to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse practitioner. She will use the scholarship from the William and Theresa M. Rubert Memorial Scholarship Trust to pursue those dreams.

Nikki Cannon is a junior who chose nursing because of her personal experience with her grandfather who spent the last few years of his life in and out of the hospital. This experience inspired her to pursue a nursing career caring for the geriatric population, as she believes that they are the most looked over in our healthcare system. She is a member of the phi sigma sigma sorority on campus and serves on their executive board.

Youngeun Park is five-year co-op student from Forty Fort, Pennsylvania. She will be graduating from Drexel University in 2021. In addition to her passion for nursing, she is currently pursuing a minor in psychology. With this education, she sees herself pursing psychiatric nursing. Furthermore, she hopes to be able to work in an urban hospital, serving the inner population needs. The city community is important to her and she strives to serve it through her nursing education.

Julie Kim is a junior nursing student who is currently working on the Oncology-Liquid Tumors unit at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for her second co-op. With the help of the scholarship from the William and Theresa M. Rubert Memorial Scholarship Trust, she hopes to advance her aspirations of becoming an oncology nurse.
