Rita K. Adeniran, RN, DrNP (DRNP ‘11), president and CEO of the consulting firm Innovating and Inclusive Global Solutions, was a featured speaker at the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Lecture at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Adeniran spoke about how she uses the teachings of Dr. King to inspire her to be a strong, successful black woman.
Victoria DeBarbieri, APN, RN, BC (MSN ‘06) joined the Wright Center for Primary Care in Scranton, Pennsylvania as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
Girija Kaimal (MCAT ‘01), professor of creative arts therapy in Drexel’s College of Nursing and Health Professions, has been collaborating on a study being conducted at Drexel about the effectiveness of art therapy for veterans suffering from PTSD and traumatic brain injury.
Caroline C. Peterson, ATR-BC, LPC (MCAT ‘00), a therapist, licensed counselor and the founder of Springboard Studio in Philadelphia, wrote an article, "Mindfulness and Engaged Creativity: A Best in Integrative Medicine," about ways in which mindfulness-based art therapy programs are emerging as clinical approaches within medical and mental health systems.
Rebecca Rogers, RD, LDN (BS ‘01), registered dietician with over ten years of experience in nutrition and wellness, was hired by Whitemarsh Behavioral Health Care in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania, and will provide a wide range of nutrition therapy services to Montgomery County residents.
