Special Acknowledgements June 28, 2016 An article by Kimberly Palestis ‘16, an alumna of the Forensic Certificate Program, entitled “Active Shooters: What Emergency Nurses Need to Know” was published in the Journal of Forensic Nursing. The Department of Nutrition Sciences had eight students successfully defend their master’s thesis over the past two weeks. They are: Harley Rogers Emily Werner Elizabeth McManus Brianna Higgins Dan Dychtwald Marisa Wagner Samantha Diamond Kendra Becker The results of a collaborative research study between Girija Kaimal, EdD, assistant professor in the Department of Creative Arts Therapies, and Juan Muniz, PhD, assistant teaching professor in the Department of Nutrition Sciences, was published in Art Therapy under the title “Reduction of Cortisol Levels and Participants’ Responses Following Art Making”.
