A Message from Dean Gloria Donnelly
February 16, 2016
This month, USA Today’s list of “The 10 best U.S. Colleges for a Nursing Degree” Included the College of Nursing and Health Professions. Not only were we ranked among some heavy hitters in the field of nursing education, but we took the number five spot!
The College faculty and staff consider the preparation of the future workforce of health professionals the most important thing we do. At Drexel, our edge is the real world experience we are uniquely positioned to offer our students, particularly through co-op and excellent clinical practica. Such was a major factor in determining the schools on the list – their ability to “develop a strong foundation that allows graduates to enter the workforce or pursue advanced degrees.” It is no surprise that Drexel’s Co-op program and multidisciplinary curriculum were highlighted in our ranking.
So, let’s keep doing what we are doing – educating students or provide the best care possible to improve the health of individuals, families and communities. It is through the efforts of faculty and staff, the excellence of our students and the support of our Co-op employers that we have been recognized. Congratulations to all!
