11th Street Partners with RiteChoice Pharmacy

December 14, 2016

Stephen and Sandra Sheller 11th Street Family Health Services has become an epicenter for people in Philadelphia to receive vital health services that would otherwise be unavailable to them. On September 26, 2016, 11th Street welcomed RiteChoice Pharmacy as its newest partner. Adrian Accay, owner of the pharmacy, described its mission.

"RiteChoice hopes to provide a simpler way for patients to receive and understand their prescriptions. What really sets us apart is that our pharmacists work with health care providers at 11th Street to understand and diagnose patients, leading to less confusion over what services or medications each patient may need."

After nearly three months at 11th Street, the pharmacy has exceeded all expectations. "We initially set a goal of 75 patients a day, and have consistently surpassed this mark," Accay said. "Moving forward we really don't have a truly set number in place in terms of patients. Instead we are more focused on continuing to provide a high level of customer service. We want people to feel welcome and comfortable when they come to see us."

In addition to being connected with health care providers, RiteChoice offers free delivery of prescriptions throughout Philadelphia utilizing its network of pharmacies in the Philadelphia area.

"It is our hope in having a location at 11th Street that we are able to help provide a smoother patient care experience," Accay explained. "I believe that if patients tried our pharmacy, they could see for themselves what a difference we can make. Your doctor and your pharmacist working together to prepare the proper diagnosis and prescription, and to have it delivered to you for free — I'd say that's a win win."
