• Drexel University was named as one of the top schools for graduate degrees in marriage and family therapy by Online Psychology Degrees.

   

• Kevin Carrasquillo (BS, 2017), was selected to be a Research Assistant in study being conducted by Dr. Zellner of Montclair State University and Dr. Lahne of Drexel University. They are partnering with the Vetri Community Partnership (VCP) and Monell Chemical Senses Center to conduct a study assessing the effects that the VCP’s “Eatiquette” program will have on food consumption in elementary school students.

   

• CNHP was well-represented at the Mixed Methods International Research Association Conference in Durham, UK.
  • Nancy Gerber, PhD, director of the PhD Program in Creative Arts Therapies and associate clinical professor presented on two panels. The first panel was entitled "Dilemmas and opportunities for teaching mixed methods research addressing complex social issues: expert panel perspectives". The second panel, was entitled "Integrating the arts and mixed methods research approaches".
  • Joke Bradt, PhD, associate professor in the Creative Arts Therapies Department, presented a workshop with Drs. John Creswell and Timothy Guetterman on "Applications of recent innovations in mixed methods research procedures."
  • Minjung Shim, PhD, an alum of the PhD Program in Creative Arts Therapies, received a Dissertation Award from the Mixed Methods International Research Association for a dissertation entitled "Model-building through a mixed methods grounded theory design: Dance/movement therapy for resilience-building in people with chronic pain."

     

• Judy Ensslin (Program Manager, EAT.RIGHT.NOW. Program) presented two posters at the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior conference in San Diego, CA. The poster titles were as follows: “Drexel University Eat.Right.Now. High School Curriculum for Pennsylvania SNAP-Ed Helps Philadelphia Students Eat Healthier” and “Evaluation of the Effectiveness of the Drexel University Eat.Right.Now. High School Curriculum in Pennsylvania SNAP-Ed.”
