A Message from Dean Gloria Donnelly
September 22, 2015
Welcome, everyone, to a brand new term. Welcome, especially, to the 1,520 incoming students of Drexel University’s College of Nursing and Health Professions. We are honored to have you as part of the College community.
Our new students represent 46 states and 12 countries, so it is also my honor to be among the first to welcome you to Philadelphia – a health care and pharmaceutical hub and home to renowned institutions, like the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the number one ranked children’s hospital in the U.S. Opportunity is everywhere in our great city, and as Drexel Dragons, we hope you take advantage of everything it has to offer.
I encourage you to utilize Drexel’s resources. Get to know your professors and classmates, pay a visit to the Center for Academic Success and to the Academy of Natural Sciences on the Parkway, join student organizations and attend events sponsored by the CNHP Alumni Network for opportunities to mingle and network with alumni.
As we launch the 2015-16 academic year, you are one step closer to becoming competent and compassionate health professionals. There are sure to be challenges and obstacles along the way, but I can promise that with your Drexel education and with our support, you will be as prepared as ever to face them and enjoy a long and rewarding career in health care.
Best of luck!
Gloria F. Donnelly, PhD, RN, FAAN, FCPP
Dean and Professor
