Online Pedagogy, Where’s the Beef?

Description: Students perceive high quality education when they are connected to one another.  Key measures of social online presence are measured by effective and open communications, and group cohesion.  Faculty-Student engagement is the key to successful online learning.

Purpose: To provide the essential framework that scaffolds the elements of a successful engaging online class requires much time, effort and purposeful intent.

Target Audience: Registered Nurses, Academic Faculty, Clinical Faculty, Education Specialists

Program Objective:  Discuss effective online pedagogical practices.

Contact Hours: 1.75 Continuing Nursing Education Contact Hours will be provided. 

Requirements for Successful Completion: RN participants must register prior to the program, attend the entire program, and complete the online evaluation by the due date to receive continuing nursing education contact hours.

Accreditation: Drexel University (DREXEL) College of Nursing and Health Professions, Division of Continuing Nursing Education is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
