11th Street: Construction Update
March 13, 2015
Construction efforts for the Stephen and Sandra Sheller 11th Street Family Health Services Center are progressing rapidly at this point. The new parking lot (Phase One) was completed in early summer of 2014 which allowed the existing parking site to be cleared for the building expansion. As of March 2015, Phase Two (which includes the entire new building and connector passageway between the two structures) has been enclosed with the windows in place; the completion of the exterior surface of the building will begin shortly. In the interim, the interior construction (i.e., walls, doors, ceilings, finishes) of both floors is well underway with anticipated completion in July. Selection and procurement of new furnishings for the Primary Care space (1st Floor) as well as the Creative Arts Therapies spaces (2nd Floor) is in the final stages.
Following the relocation of the Primary Care and Creative Arts Therapies spaces to the new building, the construction efforts will focus on renovations to the existing building. This portion of the project (Phase Three) is anticipated to be complete in late October.
