Jennifer Quinlan and Shauna Henley Directly Impact FDA Policy January 29, 2015 The FDA National Food Safety Survey was developed about 20 years ago and is administered every 5 years. Last year there was an open comment period and Jennifer Quinlan, PhD and Shauna Henley, PhD submitted comments based on results from their USDA grant. Last week FDA announced changes to the upcoming version of the survey https://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2014/11/04/2014-26144/agency-information-collection-activities-submission-for-office-of-management-and-budget-review and in response to their comment (comment #2 in the link) FDA WILL now begin incorporating questions about washing raw chicken and raw poultry on future versions of the survey!
