CNHP Living and Learning Community Visit 11th Street

January 29, 2015

The CNHP Living Learning Community is a wing in Myers Residence Hall dedicated to students in the College of Nursing and Health Professions. This year, the Living Learning Community includes health science majors-Pre PA and Pre PT, HSAD, and nursing majors. The community fosters an environment that promotes learning by providing tutoring and academic focused events to the residents. Every year they take a trip to the Stephen and Sandra Sheller 11th Street Family Health Center. The first group that visited is pictured above. Dr. Roberta Waite provides a tour and an educational session about the health center, and staff engage students by sharing what they do within their professional role and the importance of partnering with patients and their families in delivering culturally competent services. Students (from left to right): Tori Graf, Idan Waksman, Maggie Sachs, Dara Engel, Shira Pomerantz, and Katie Burns. Living-Learning-Community-Visit-11th-Street
