Students from Drexel’s Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program Host Second Annual Mr. DPT Pageant
August 27, 2015
Hosted by the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) class of 2016, the Mr. DPT pageant proved, once again, to be a fun and effective fundraiser in its second year.
The competition was established by the DPT class of 2015 as a creative way to fundraise for their class. Carrying on what they hope to be an annual tradition, the class of 2016 had eight contestants participate in the event on August 20, 2015, in categories such as talent, swimsuit and formal wear. The contestants were also interviewed by a panel of four Drexel professors.
Glenn Terry, class of ’16, was named the winner based on audience votes. Said pageant director, Kayla Kotteles, class of ’16, “What made him a clear winner was his talent: he wrote and sang his own song about the Drexel DPT program while playing guitar!”
Though top honors went to Terry, Kotteles added, “The event was hysterical and all the boys worked really hard. Congratulations to all of the contestants.”
