On the evening of October 9, the Accelerated Career Entry (ACE) BSN students filed through a crowd of their family, friends, and greatest supporters to the tune of Katy Perry’s “Roar.” Their spirits were high as they entered the room to begin their pinning ceremony, an event that commemorates the end of students’ nursing education and the beginning of their careers as nurses.

After remarks from Dr. Gloria Donnelly, Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Professions, ACE BSN students Yori Cozen and Christopher Lanzetta made the dean, who is known for her standup routines, proud with side-splitting commencement speeches that had the audience laughing, some to the point of tears. The ceremony ended with the traditional recitation of The Nightingale Pledge, followed by a reception.

Congratulations to the ACE BSN Class of 2014. Make the College of Nursing and Health Professions proud as you begin your careers as nurses!
