Winners of the 2014 Drexel World Fusion Fest’s World in Focus Photo Contest were announced at a reception in the New College Building Student Lounge on April 11. The contest, organized by International Students and Scholars Services and Student Affairs Center City, was one of several events during World Fusion Fest, which was created to highlight international and intercultural presence on Drexel’s Campus. The Drexel Community is encouraged to learn and expand their global awareness and competency by participating in the fun events offered by various organizations on campus throughout the week.

The contest featured four categories in which participants could enter photos. The categories were “Cityscape,” “Blue,” “Earth, Wind, and Fire,” and “Cultural Encounter.” Each category highlighted one winner and three honorable mentions for a total of sixteen awards. Students, faculty, and staff members were able to submit one photo per category.

Award Recipients:

Cityscape: Fei Shen (winner), Rachel Fretz-Cianci (honorable mention), Jessica Wirth (honorable mention), and Pooja Venugopal (honorable mention).

Blue: Vishal Kasliwal (winner), Chung Wong (honorable mention), Neha Varma (honorable mention), and Yang Wang (honorable mention).

Earth, Wind, and Fire: Dongzhou Xie (winner), Chung Wong (honorable mention), Emily Heishman (honorable mention), and Bindal Makwana (honorable mention).
