Alumni Update: Where are they now?

David Alan Harris, MCAT ’02, was featured in an article, “The Battle Within: How Dance Helps Victims of War,” appearing in the Reflections in Verse blog. While pursuing his degree in Dance/Movement Therapy at Drexel, Harris applied Dance/Movement Therapy theories with a group of resettled “lost boys” from Sudan. Harris is the director of Global Wellbeing, which aims to deliver meaningful instruction for service providers working with survivors of war and organized violence, whether in post-crisis communities or in countries of refuge.

Barry Ritz, PhD, MS Human Nutrition ’05, received the Best of Research Award from the Hokkaido Prefecture Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry for a new study on mushrooms presented at the 22nd International Congress on Nutrition and Integrative Medicine held in Sapporo, Japan. Dr. Ritz is the Vice President of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs at Atrium Innovations and a visiting assistant research professor in the Nutrition Sciences Department at Drexel.
