Young Alumna Featured in Seventeen Magazine

Sheena Pradhan, who graduated from the BS Nutrition Program at the College of Nursing and Health Professions in 2011, recently contributed to Seventeen magazine in an article, "Beat the Heat Treats," which provided examples of healthy warm weather desserts. The article is featured on page 100 of the print edition of the August 2014 issue (Volume 73, Number 8).
Sheena Pradhan is a New York City based Registered Dietitian and the creator of Nutritious Balance, which offers one-on-one nutrition counseling, corporate wellness lectures, individualized menu plans, and in-home cooking demonstrations. She has worked as a nutritionist for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program, Urban Tree Connection, Capable Adolescent Mothers, Shane Diet and Fitness Resorts, and Community Healthcare Network. Pradhan has worked with populations abroad in Nicaragua and volunteered in Equatorial Guinea, Central Africa. She is trilingual in English, Spanish, and Oriya and enjoys communicating with her patients and clients in their own languages.
