Melissa Kavanaugh, a Master’s in Human Nutrition student at the College of Nursing and Health Professions, was recently awarded the prestigious Sara Clemen Parks Scholarship from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to students on the basis of outstanding academic performance and financial need. Kavanaugh acknowledges the help of her Drexel professors. “The faculty was very responsive and willing to help,” she said. After completing the Master’s program, Kavanaugh hopes to complete several internships and enroll in a PhD program.
