On December 3, the Scholars for Academic Success hosted an event called “How Mentors Change Lives” in the New College Building’s Geary Hall A. The event consisted of a panel of mentors and mentees from Drexel University and from the Philadelphia community, including Melissa DeFreece from Broad Street Ministries,  and Nick Perez, Stephen Gambescia, PhD, and Ryan O’Connor, all from Drexel University. The panelists discussed the unique opportunities that the mentor/mentee relationship provides, and offered up some advice on how to find prospective mentors. The panel discussion was followed by a dessert reception.

Rebecca Walker, a student in the BSN Co-op Program, is the President of the Drexel Scholars for Academic Success, which organizes events for students across the University.
